In the classic book, "Practicing the Presence of God," Brother Lawrence compared his interior gaze at God to a baby paying attention to his mother when he is being fed.
"The feeling is so perfectly sweet and delicious. If something happens to take my mind and heart away from God, that sweet delicious feeling about Him makes my heart want to go and let God hold me some more."
Maybe today will be the day you turn aside from the chaos, and gaze at God as He holds you in his love.
